Acne Home Remedies

Acne is a common complaint for many people. It is commonly thought to be a younger person’s problem but many adults in their 30s also have acne problems. For many people, they aren’t sure what is in the over the counter acne creams or their skin is too sensitive to use them. These people can and should use herbal acne home remedies. Herbal remedies are natural and usually less harmful than acne creams. Of course, you should always keep in mind any food allergies when choosing an herbal acne remedy since they are made with herbs and food items. There are several herbal acne home remedies, two of the more common are listed here.

The most common of the acne home remedies is an oatmeal mask. This home remedy is very easy to make, inexpensive, and many people already have the ingredients in their pantry. All you need is oatmeal, water, and a blender. The first step is to use the blender to pulverize about 1/3 cup of oatmeal. Then mix it with water, about 1/3 cup, till it is as thick as paste. Dab this oatmeal paste onto each of your pimples. Once the paste dries and begins to crumble, wash your face with lukewarm water. Don’t use hot or cold water to wash as that causes the tiny blood vessels in your face to burst.

If you are in need of a stronger type of acne home remedies, you can always try brewer’s yeast. This one is a bit more complicated than the oatmeal mask but it is not only clears your acne, it gives you more energy and shiny hair. You’ll need brewer’s yeast, lecithin granules, safflower oil, and pure apple juice. On the first day, mix 2 teaspoons brewer’s years, 3 teaspoons (1 Tablespoon) lecithin granules, and 3 teaspoons (1 Tablespoon) safflower oil into a glass of apple juice. On the second day, increase the brewer’s yeast to 3 teaspoons and the lecithin granules to 4 teaspoons but keep the safflower oil the same. Every day, you will increase the brewer’s yeast and lecithin granules by 1 teaspoon until you are adding 6 teaspoons of brewer’s yeast and 7 teaspoons of lecithin granules to your apple juice each morning.

These are just two of the many herbal acne home remedies. There are dozens more so if these ones don’t work, just keep looking until you find one that works. You don’t have to use any of the over the counter creams if you don’t want to.
